Welcome to the Materials Center in NYC where we play, create and build! Educator and Coordinator Wendy Gelsanliter of Teaching Beyond the Square leads us around this curated collection of natural objects and "found" materials that are housed in the amazing Materials Center. Gathered and donated by NYC residents and businesses, these materials are objects from our everyday lives that are often discarded, but could be transformed into something new, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and action. What materials will you find in your own home?
